Conseil National pour l’Accès aux Origines Personnelles (CNAOP)
Le Conseil National pour l’Accès aux Origines Personnelles (CNAOP) a été créé par une loi du 22 janvier 2002, votée à l’unanimité par les députés. Son objectif essentiel est de faciliter l’accès aux origines personnelles. Cette mission est assurée en liaison avec les départements, les collectivités d’outre-mer et les organismes autorisés pour l’adoption.

Advocate for Children
All children have fundamental rights to healthcare, education, justice, social security, etc. Children’s advocates defend these rights and make them known. The rights of children are recognised by law, and are recorded in the International Convention on the Rights of the Child (ICRC). In France, the Advocate for Children is appointed by the United Nations to ensure these rights are respected. The Advocate guarantees respect for “the child’s best interests,” in other words, that the child’s best interests shall be a primary consideration .
