ADOPTION IN SOUTH KOREA
The Marseille Committee was delighted to collaborate with Korea for the adoption of many children.
Adoptions began in 1975, when national adoptions began offering fewer children. Nearly 200 children were adopted.
Currently, international adoption is nearly closed, since central authorities have developed a support policy for young single mothers to help them continue their studies whilst taking care of their child. We are thrilled to see attitudes evolving in Korea.
There is currently no way of adopting from this country. However, we remain available for helping adoptees find out more about their family of origin in Korea.
Please get in touch with our organisation by sending a letter, including a photocopy of your ID card, your birth date, date of adoption, and any information that may help us identify your records.
